Backgammon tournament for a good cause

It will be heartening to know that backgammon is being played for a purpose in some parts of the world. The Hugh Allen Jr. Backgammon tournament in East Memphis has been one such event of this kind. Conducted on 11th February, 2007, this tourney took place for the benefit of the American Cancer Society. This tournament is an annual event where many participate for the noble cause. An entry fee of $125 was charged per head and a large percentage of the gains went to benefit the much needed sector. The games were conducted at The Grove Grill, situated in East Memphis.
