New product of Microsoft for backgammon

On Friday, August 25, 2006 Microsoft announced the launch of its six top Xbox Live Arcade titles. These titles will soon be available to consumers in the form of a disc-based compilation titled the Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Volume 1. Besides the usual games of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved (pictured), Wik: Fable of Souls, Outpost Kaloki X and Bejeweled 2 Deluxe; popular mind games of Hardwood Backgammon and Texas Hold'em are also present. Backgammon and other games have high popularity among gamers now and the market has responded well to the package say officials. Xbox Live Arcade has proven to be a well-received component of the overall Xbox 360 strategy and over 65 percent of connected consoles downloaded the Xbox Live Arcade titles. There have been over eight million Arcade downloads since the launch. Worldwide launch of the Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Volume 1 is planned on September 5, 2006. The market seems quite receptive to the xbox product, say the Microsoft officials. The value for all the six games totals around $50 in marketplace points.
