The Japanese Backgammon league keeps a tab on various backgammon clubs and another name that promises to offer a lot of the 'fun' element is the Backgammon club for fun. Located in Tokyo, this club also operates on a once-a-month basis like most other backgammon clubs in Japan. Members meet up on the last Friday of the month at the chosen venue. Games usually begin at 5:30 pm and go on up till 8:30pm. The club encourages newcomers and does not charge any fee for the first visit. Members and backgammon lovers meet up for regular backgammon gaming once a week. These meetings usually take place on Tuesdays and gaming begins from 7pm and goes on well into the night. Backgammon is enjoyed in Hiroshima Backgammon Club, where players meet up once a month for a friendly yet challenging game of backgammon. These tournaments are usually conducted on the first Monday of every month. Dates are however altered when the Monday falls on an important holiday. Gaming on chosen days begins from 6pm and goes on well into the night. A format of free games is followed but an entry fee is charged per participant for this evening. An amount of 2200 yen is charged per player for the evening and this amount is inclusive of good dinner, which is offered at the club. The Shonan backgammon club offers wonderful backgammon opportunity for all backgammon players in the neigborhood. It gives all beginners to the game an excellent platform to learn while intermediate and expert players can match their skill and improve their backgammon strategy here. At an entry fee of 200 yen which is charged per game, members of the club meet twice a month on the first and third Saturdays. Gaming begins in the day from 2pm and goes on up till 5pm. A round robin format is commonly followed at the club and guests are welcome to participate or watch the games in progress.
