If you are interested in joining the backgammon community in Eastbourne, Bexhill or the surrounding areas then the EBBC is the best place to place your stakes at. This backgammon club has been around for a while and has undergone various changes to accommodate the rules of backgammon without cutting out the fun. Members of the club meet up once a week on Wednesdays and games begin sharp at 8.00 pm. Entry is free, games are informal and the atmosphere is congenial. However those interested can opt for an optional prize pool. Friendly games of Chouettes are also encouraged at the club. Regular backgammon games played at the club comprise of seven 7 point matches usually. The club believes in encouraging backgammon for fun rather than money. If you wish you can bring along your guests. Beginners are especially encouraged to participate in the games. The senior members of the club are expert backgammon players and help with advice and support and teaching lessons for those interested. Good backgammon players can find their match at this club. Points are awarded on the basis of weekly standings. League winners are decided at the end of the year on the basis of these points. Besides enjoying a good backgammon game, you can also indulge in good food and a great range of refreshments.
