Good backgammon tournaments and a great time are a few of the things offered at the Brighton Backgammon Club. The members of this club meet once a week on Tuesdays. Backgammon money plays begin sharp at 8 pm and go on till the club closes. Prize based tournaments are encouraged and players need to pay £1 pa plus £1.50 per tournament as entry fee. However the total amount of the money collected is returned as prizes. Players from all levels including novice players, intermediate players and experts of the game are encouraged to attend the club and become members. Learn backgammon on the board and online, from expert backgammon players, who are members of the club.

Gammonitis is another good club in Brighton. Formed in the year 2002, this club has 50-100 members who regularly attend the games. The club conducts backgammon tournaments twice a month. The venue for the games is not fixed and varies across locations in UK. The club aims to offer a fun filled and competitively charged backgammon gaming atmosphere for all gamblers online and offline. Gammonitis has an online presence and constantly updates its readers on upcoming backgammon related seminars, classes, workshops and league tournaments. The club also regularly works with other clubs for organizing bigger tournaments. It operates on a membership basis that is offered in three tiers: free membership, club membership (charged at £15 per year) and gold membership (charged at £25 per year). While free membership for the public allows access to Gammonitis games and the color magazine ‘Make your point’, the club and gold memberships offer much more. These offer access and participation to online backgammon tournaments, attending all backgammon matches and news services. Those interested in joining the club can purchase membership online. Rules of the game, tips on winning and a glossary of backgammon terminology are also offered online.
